You're invited to join the Custer County Historical Society. As a member, you receive a quarterly newsletter, discounted paper copies, and special event email notifications.

Our mission is to preserve and make available to the world the history of the communities and citizens of Custer County, Nebraska, and to make that history available to the world.

Our rates for membership are (Jan to Dec -year), but accepted all year long.

$2,500. Grand Benefactor

This provides us enough to pay the utilities, keep the rain out, and hire a very part time curator who works for peanuts because she loves history and helping people find their roots. We do have support that maintains the insurance on the building and contents (to what we can afford on irreplaceable items).

A twelve member board from communities around the county oversees the operation, and a dozen or so additional volunteers do a great deal of our work. These board members and volunteers, truly love the history of Custer County.
